Frequently Asked Questions

Who are you?

We are La Presserie. A Canadian company that makes Delicious Cold Pressed Juices.

Is this a French brand?

We’re made right here in Toronto but were inspired by the south of France and the amazing products our R&D team tasted during their time there.

What's different

about your juice?

Three things:

- We only use high quality fruits and vegetables that are picked at the peak of their ripeness for a more intense flavour.

- We cold press & flash freeze our juices vs pasteurizing or processing them with high pressure (HPP) to maintain all the enzymes and antioxidants.

- Our juices are 100% raw fruits and vegetables. We do not add water, sugar, or preservatives. It’s the way a juice should be.

It says on your site that your juice is frozen. I thought that was not good.

It's actually the reverse. We believe Frozen is the New Fresh! Fresh cold pressed juices perish very quickly. The flash freezing process is the most natural way to preserve enzyme, lipid, vitamin, mineral, phytonutrient and chlorophyll content. It also allows us to offer you the convenience of consuming the juice when you are ready to enjoy it without compromising its nutritional content.

Get more information and see the eight reasons why frozen is better. Visit our Fresh-Frozen is Better page.

It says on the label there is no sugar added but there is still sugar content on the nutritional label.

All the sugars in the juice are naturally occurring. Sugar content comes from the natural fructose in fruits and vegetables. No sugar added* (except the Maple Syrup in our Orange Passion Fruit juice)

Do you add vitamins or fortify you juices?

No, we do not. Our juices are 100% raw fruits and vegetables. We do not add or remove anything.

What do you mean when you say your juices are raw?

It means that they have not been subjected to high temperatures, pasteurized or treated with high pressure processing (HPP). Most companies pasteurize or cook their juice, which destroys all their nutritional benefits.

I prefer fresh squeezed juice.
Is it your juice just as good?

La Presserie IS fresh squeezed juice. Just like home made juice, we use a press that squeezes the juice. And just like home-made we also never add water, sugar or preservatives. The advantage is that because our juices are flash frozen, they will last for up to 7 days in the fridge and up to a year in the freezer, whereas fresh juice will spoil very quickly. Second, our juices are custom designed blends that would be very difficult to achieve at home.

I thought juice had to taste bad in order to be good for you!

While that may have been true in the past, we believe you should not have to choose between great taste and healthy goodness. Our goal is to offer you the best tasting
cold pressed juice!

How long do your juices last?

If you purchase them frozen, they can last up to a year in your freezer. If you purchase them refrigerated, they can last about a week under refrigeration.

How do I thaw the juice?

La Presserie juices are delivered frozen in an insulated box and should be kept frozen until you are ready to consume them. We recommend to thaw the juices in your refrigerator (will take around 24 hours). You can also thaw the juices at room temperature, but please be sure to consume it while it is still cold. Once thawed, our juices need to be refrigerated. They can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 5 days and in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Will you have new flavours?

Yes, we are always working on new flavours and experimenting with innovative ingredients. For now, there are eight different options ranging from green juices made with healthy vegetables and fruits to tasty classic and exotic blends that you don’t find in the market.

You say you're the best tasting cold-pressed juice.
Do you have a guarantee?

We do not have a guarantee, but in all our taste tests, when compared head to head against the comp etition, our juice come out on top. We think you’ll agree!

How does La Presserie ensure the quality and safety of it's products?

First as a Canadian owned and operated company we always aim to source our fruits and vegetables locally ensuring the best quality possible. All our facilities are certified peanut and tree nut free. Lastly La Presserie is an FSSC 22000 cerfified company. Recognized as a leading certification by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), this prestigious international certification, aims to ensure that consumers can trust the products they purchase, by improving food safety management practices - farm to bottle

What does a small batch means?

It means we only hand-select our fruits and vegetables and press them in small quantities so that we can ensure the highest quality juices.

Are your juices organic?

Some of our fruits and vegetables are indeed organic, but not all, depending on availability.

Why a plastic bottle and not glass?

We flash freeze our juices to lock in goodness and offer convenience. Since even freezer-safe glass can crack as food expands during the freezing process, we have selected BPA-free plastic packaging for safety and product integrity in order to keep our juices as fresh as possible.

Where do you deliver?

We currently ship our products throughout Ontario. We deliver daily in the GTA and aim to have your order to you, within 2 to 3 business days. If you are a business, please contact us for your order.

How much is Shipping & Handling?

We offer free shipping in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). Outside of the GTA, shipping and handling varies based on your delivery area.
